The problem

Why this course exists

Nobody trains you for the first hire. You go from doing the work to depending on somebody else to do it, usually while still doing most of it yourself, and the skills that got you here stop being the ones that matter. The common failures are predictable: hiring for the tasks you hate instead of the role you need, keeping the work because explaining it takes longer, and avoiding the first hard conversation until it becomes a last one.
