Pivot Leadership Academy · Team Tier · The Emotional Authority Manager Method

Why This Exists
Many front-line leaders enter the role without formal preparation. The effects can appear in turnover, disengagement, burnout, inconsistent feedback, and unresolved performance issues. This program provides a structured curriculum, workplace application, and pre/post measurement.
The Foundation
Lead yourself first
The practice of regulating your internal state so that your response is deliberate rather than reactive. The Pause asks leaders to identify the emotion, create time to assess the situation, and select an appropriate response.
Build people up
The framework develops performance through clear standards, employee development, psychological safety, recognition, and ownership.
The Curriculum
A structured 12-week arc, each module paired to a leader behavior ManagerIQ measures.
The Pause
Self-regulation under pressure — leading from choice instead of reflex.
GROW
The leader's most important recurring meeting, run well, and the shift from directing to coaching.
SBI Feedback
Specific, timely, humane feedback and a repeatable way to run the conversations leaders avoid.
Stay Conversations
Building psychological safety and catching burnout before it costs you a resignation.
Delegation + Recognition
Delegating outcomes, holding standards humanely, and recognizing what actually keeps people.
Kotter + Bridges
Communicating change and honoring what's ending, so a team stays steady in uncertainty.
Applied coaching practice
Between modules, each leader applies one practice with their team and reports on the result. Completion requires workplace application, not attendance alone.
ManagerIQ
ManagerIQ assesses nine leader behaviors using self and team ratings. Initial results establish each leader's development priorities. The follow-up assessment identifies changes by behavior.
Delivered With Rigor
Facilitators are trained and assessed against a rubric before they ever lead a cohort under the Pivot name. Delivery standards apply to every facilitator and cohort.
Every engagement starts with the free PivotIQ Baseline. Results inform the recommended program, participant group, and measurement approach.
